Course Description
The Graphic Arts & Visual Imaging Technology program focuses on the major design considerations for a well-balanced digital image whether the final output is to be viewed digitally (on the web) or in print (poster, magazine, flyer, product labels, etc.). Design invlolves the principles & elements of design, proper use of typography, mastery of computer software, hardware and peripheral devices. Emphasis is placed on project based learning experiences to understand design and production issues. Students will use emerging technologies to construct digital photography, digital and print design pieces for "real" clients. Students will develop a personal viewpoint of aesthetics and creativity in design problem solving. This is a 2-Year program for 11th & 12th grade students. Program completers may qualify for articulated college credit. The Graphic Arts program is available 1st Session 7:03 a.m. – 10:05 a.m. and 2nd Session from 11:35 a.m. – 2:37 p.m.
